Bandit! is America's favorite Short-Tailed Bavarian Husky. Perhaps America's only Short-Tailed Bavarian Husky. Short-Tailed Bavarian Huskies are part Siberian Husky, part German shepherd mixed with some sort of pointer crossed with a Siberian Snot Hound. We don't know much about the first chapter's of Bandit!'s story. We met him at the North Country Animal League in January 2007. He'd ended up there after the local Animal Control Officer had hauled him off to doggy jail one too many times.

It may have been only 10 degrees here in West Newbury, but it was worth sitting out in the driveway to watch the light fade on the White Mountains.
